I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee in a family very engaged in social justice, education, and counseling. There I learned the importance of listening, focusing on solutions, and appreciating the small things in life. After I moved to New York City, I fell in love with the energy and vibe of the city. I valued its diversity and quickly made friends.

Prior to my private practice, I worked in out-patient counseling centers, school-based programs, and with people affected by the attack on the World Trade Center.

Informed by a variety of techniques, I offer in-person therapy in Brooklyn Heights, or remote therapy for people in New York, New Jersey and Vermont.
